About Me

BILLIE-DEES is a collection of Vintage, Rococo inspired designs with a modern twist. The focus is primarily on natural forms, however as the collection has progressed, the motifs and techniques used have created a more abstract appeal. My blog shows the journey I am on and the inspirations and creative explorations that have got my designs where they are today. With an ambition of becoming an interior stylist, my blog assists in my thought process and my ever - growing passion for everything interior; from the latest trends to ever lasting goodies.

Concrete what?

A specialist architectural company "creating bespoke concrete design solutions for walls, floors, work surfaces and furniture."

Concrete Blond, not your average surface pattern.

Original and inspirational, Concrete Blond are taking surface design to a whole new world. Pushing the boundaries with design technology. Entirely original and unique. Love the designs, love the idea... i think designers should watch out for these under dogs!

More from Rachel.... yes please.

yummy stuff

Rachel Ashworth and her store 'Shabby Chic' - and thats just what it is.
Mmmm love that old man leather with the pretty floral.

i want to own a store like this!
Love love looove.

Simply White...

You can't help but fall in love with the all white. These rooms scream fresh fashion. Traditional yet edgy, simple yet elegant and divine. I particularly love the washed - white brick wall emersing through the crack, the white floor boards creating a beach house effect and the off white vintage acessories. This look suits any style - a New York apartment over loooking the skyline, a beach house in australia, or a leafy suburb in the north of england.

I look to Linda

Linda Florence...
For me, it would be rude to start speaking of inspirational artists without putting Linda Florence right smack bang at the beginning
of it. I am always amazed and intrigued by her work, and how she never fails to be
outstandingly creative and original. What i love about her work is the combination of traditional motifs with an overwhelming modern, graphical touch.
When i'm stuck with where to go with a project, collection, colour palette or materials, I always look to Linda.

Welcome to Billie Dees

Today is the start of documenting my work from starting my first year at
Leeds Uni as a Textile Design student. As a young designer
I am constantly looking for inspiration from all sources to keep
my artistic juices flowing. Having always been a design enthusiast, especially within the interior market, i am always looking to
create something special, something i would love to see in my own home.
So here is a journey, from start to present, of my progression
as a designer; how i got to where i am today, who inspired me and what I continue to thrive
towards in the near future.
